Located on the Toyota Terrace level near section 224, The Hideaway features Deep Eddy Vodka drinks, as you might expect, and sushi. You may have previously visited this spot when it was The Pier (see prior story here).
We loved The Pier and were disappointed that it changed for this season. In our conversations with Padres leadership, we learned that the lack of a full kitchen was very limiting so going back to its original concept of a Sushi Bar seemed to be the most logical choice. The menu features Edamame, California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Jackie Chan Roll, Salmon Sashimi, Yellowtail Sashimi, and a daily Specialty Roll.
The other big change came after the All-Star break. The outdoor seating had always been open seating; meaning, first-come, first seated. We often enjoyed hanging out there during batting practice but never stayed for the game as our seats (honestly) are much better. But during the break, renovations were completed and the outdoor areas are now all ticketed.
It is a bit challenging to figure out how to get tickets for this area and our research indicates that the best way is to call the Padres Ticket Office at (619) 795-5000 to check on availability.
The interior has remained the same and is open seating for all ballpark patrons.
If you are craving sushi, stop by the Hideaway!
