From XTRA Sports 690 to The Mighty 1090, John has been a staple of sports talk radio in San Diego for more than 20 years. He has a passion for all sports and a memory that is second to none.
He was at the very first Major League Padres game at San Diego Stadium on April 8, 1969, and watched Dick Selma toss a complete game in a 2-1 Padres victory. He currently serves as the General Manager for the San Diego Sockers and we hope he will soon be back on the local airwaves.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to chat with Coach about the offseason moves and his thoughts about the upcoming 2016 Padres season. We are confident you will enjoy hearing some great baseball perspectives from The Coach, John Kentera.
Shure miss coach Kentera on air, one of the true pioneers of sports radio in San Diego, and across the border. Of all the guys ( all of them good, Hacksaw, jim Rome, Hartman and Chet Forte), coach was the one To turn to form fair, well formulated and informed opinion. Trully INE un a million!
We 100% agree. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
