Drafted out of Gainesville High School in Georgia in the second round of the 2014 MLB draft, Michael Gettys has shown he has the athleticism and baseball instincts to become a future star in the Major Leagues. Don Welke, the Vice President of Scouting for the San Diego Padres, told us that Michael was a prospect to “keep an eye on” as he believed this young man was going to be a good one. Michael is currently the 10th highest ranked prospect in the organization according to MLB.com http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2016?list=sd
In our interview with Michael, we asked him a few questions about his career and we were pleasantly surprised with his maturity and wisdom. We hope you’ll enjoy a few minutes with Padres prospect Michael Gettys.
