Over the course of the last 3 years, we have encountered many friends who know we write about Padres prospects and are always willing to let us know what they hear.  Well, our Facebook friend Julie Winstead forwarded us a story about the Padres signing a prospect out of the Independent Frontier League named Dylan Stoops.  He had spent the 2016 season pitching for the Traverse City Beach Bums when the Padres signed him to a contract on August 18 and assigned him to the Lake Elsinore Storm for the last 2 weeks of the season.

We had the opportunity to watch Dylan make his second Cal League start for the Storm and took several pictures and videos during the game.

Before the last game of the season, we had an opportunity to speak to Dylan about his baseball career and were surprised by not only his passion for the game, but the players he studied the careers of and admired.  He comes from a baseball family who has really taught him to appreciate the game.

We would like to introduce Dylan Stoops to the Padres family and we hope you enjoy hearing from this well spoken young man.
