Drafted in the 36th round by the Padres in 2014, Kyle McGrath has risen quickly through the Padres farm system.  Kyle is a left handed pitcher who isn’t a starter or a closer but has put together great stats coming out of the bullpen as a setup man.  Starting in 2014 from Arizona Rookie League until his late season promotion to AAA El Paso, Kyle has dominated out of the bullpen.  For example, last season at AA San Antonio, Kyle had a sparkling 1.29 in 48 2/3 innings walking only 8 hitters while striking out 50 … that was after posting a ZERO ERA in A+ Lake Elsinore where he walked 1 hitter and struck out 26!

Kyle is a young man who has a bright future ahead of him and could possibly land himself a spot in the Padres bullpen in 2017.  We had a chance to talk to Kyle before the Peoria Javelinas Vs. Mesa Solar Sox game on Saturday October 29, and ask him a few questions about his career.  We hope you’ll enjoy and appreciate what Kyle has to say.
